Press T in Rakumux mode, or open Settings → Terminal panel, to open a separate shell underneath the main detail. It starts in the selected session’s current directory, or the current folder when no session is selected.
  • Focus. Click a pane to focus it. TERMINAL MODE in the footer shows that your keys go to the shell. The session above stays visible while you type.
  • Leave and return. The Rakumux key (Ctrl-\) returns to Rakumux mode; then Esc returns to the shell, or T hides it.
  • Hide. The × button or T hides the panel without ending its program, and reopening reuses the same shell.
  • Resize. Drag the divider. Short windows show the focused pane alone.
  • Close. Typing exit or sending end-of-file closes the pane and releases its terminal.
The panel creates no session and no entry in the list. It belongs to the window that opened it: closing or reloading that window ends its temporary shell, never any Rakumux sessions. A server restart in place keeps it; after reconnecting it’s read-only until you focus it again.
