A session you didn’t name gets a better name the first time it settles, when its program goes idle or finishes a task. Rakumux sends the session’s recent commands and screen text to your AI provider and renames the session with its suggestion. Names you choose are never replaced. AI naming is optional and uses your own key, with Anthropic or OpenAI. Without a key, sessions keep their generated names.

Add a key

Put your key in ~/.rakumux/config.json:
or set the ANTHROPIC_API_KEY or OPENAI_API_KEY environment variable before starting Rakumux. With an OpenAI key, openai_model picks the model.
The request goes from your machine straight to the provider you chose, under your account with them, and their terms apply. Rakumux itself doesn’t receive it.
